SAMR to Launch Law Enforcement Actions Against Unfair Competition
Recently, State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) released the Notice on Launching Law Enforcement Actions against Unfair Competition (the Notice). The Notice states that from May to October, major actions concerning the law enforcement in anti-unfair competition has been carried out nationwide. This law enforcement action focuses on the sectors and fields of online transaction, rural market, medicine and education to handle high-profile problems including market disorder, commercial bribery, false publicity and online-related unfair competition. The Notice proposes to strengthen IPR protection by focusing on the handling of unfair competition acts including market disorder and IPR infringement such as infringement theft of trade secrets.
