South Korean Becomes the First One to Use Patent Translation Tool of “WIPO Translate”?Among WIPO Members

On May 23 to 25, the IP Offices Meeting of IP Administrative Management Communication Technical Strategy and AI was held and during the process, KIPO and WIPO signed Memorandum of Understanding. According to this document, KIPO will apply “WIPO Translate”?to its patent application and examination process, which makes South Korean, as the 191th members, to be the first one to use “WIPO Translate”?with the plan to help world IP offices to adopt the most advanced technology. WIPO has processed this technology to make the official language of PCT (Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian?and Spanish) translate into English in terms of patent document. It is also available?to the opposite?situation.
