SIPO Received the First Batch of Application for Protection of Geographic Indication Products

On June 12, the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) released an announcement that in accordance with the Decision on Functions Adjustment of Administrative Agencies Related to Administrative Regulations in the Organizational Reform of State Council, the applications for protection of 10 geographic indication products were received in accordance with the laws and relevant information was announced. The 10 geographic indication products include dates of Xingtang County in Hebei Province, rice of Nanling County in Anhui Province, kelp of Lianjiang County in Fujian Province, zongzi of Miluo City in Hunan Province, Yao tea of Xupu County in Hunan Province, spring sweet orange of Zijin in Guangdong Province, waxy corn of Yicheng in Shandong Province, garlic of Deyuan Township in Sichuan, spring tea of Ziyun in Guizhou and red dates of Qiemo County in Xinjiang.
