On July 9, SIPO Deputy Commissioner Liao Tao met in Beijing with a delegation led by Josef Dirscherl, General IP Counsel of BMW Group Germany. During the meeting, Liao Tao briefly introduced the latest development of SIPO, and heard opinions of the delegation on Chinese IP. The parties also exchanged views on achievements in the past ten years since the implementation of the Outline of National Intellectual Property Strategy, IP law enforcement and relevant laws and regulations. Liao Tao remarked that Chinese government has paid high attention to IP protection, and SIPO has been devoted to providing high-quality and high-efficient service to innovators around the world, hearing opinions from the field, and in which way continuously improving IP work. Josef Dirscherl expressed his admiration to work of SIPO, and his hope to strengthen communication with SIPO in the future.
