SAN FRANCISCO -- Microsoft Corp. and Nokia Corp. on Wednesday announced an alliance that will bring Microsoft's Office and related software and services to Nokia smartphones. The two companies said they will collaborate on the design, development and marketing of mobile productivity solutions, which will be available for a broad range of Nokia smartphones starting with the business-oriented Nokia Eseries. Toshiba finally adopts Blu-ray Disc standard
Toshiba is planning to launch players and laptops with support for Blu-ray Discs later this year, the company said Monday. The company was the primary backer of the HD DVD optical-disc format that had been battling Blu-ray Disc.
