In the past 2014, the IP industry both in China and abroad had undergone many changes, new trends emerging and new IP laws being implemented to promote the healthy development of IP. In China, many significant and radical changes have happened, new Trademark Law came into force, Patent Law and Copyright Law are under revision, and the Intellectual Property Court in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong have been established, contributing a lot to the creation of a good IP environment.

To cope with the IP changes in China and abroad, China IP Magazine and China Daily IPR Channel jointly organized the 5th China IP Annual Forum & 2015 Annual Conference of In-house IP Managers on January 9th to 10th 2015. Themed with “New Environment, New Trend, New Strategy,” the 5th China IP Annual Forum lasted for two full days, with a training program on the second day. It has attracted distinguished guests and speakers including government officials, scholars, inhouse IP managers, lawyers, approximately 400 IP practitioners.

In the Forum, IP practitioners came together to explore the current situation and future development trends of China’s IP industry from two aspects of IP theories and practices, in order to provide accessible advice for enterprises to improve their competition. The training program on cutting-edge IP cases on the second day, centering on the latest IP law trends and typical IP cases, gave more valuable returns to participants.

As one of the most important parts of this Forum, the Awards of the Year were announced in the part of Awarding & Gala Dinner, including Outstanding IP Management Teams in China, Most Valuable IP Enterprises in China, Outstanding IP Litigation Teams in China, Outstanding In-house IP Managers in China and China IP Most Influential People.
