The 4th Episode of IP Observers Focuses on "Whose Security and Privacy Has been Stolen by the Big Data"  
On July 26, IP Observers produced by China IP Magazine has launched the 4th episode. The host with great efforts invited Li Haiying, the director of the Internet Legal Research Center of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and Wang Lei, the senior counsel of the Legal Department of Sina to discuss "whose security and privacy had been stolen by the big data." The big data industry has brought numerous benefits to human life. But with the increasing exploring and innovation of intelligent information technology, the data also shows the trends to be more and more complicated.  
 
Administration Reform Pilot Project Announced
The State Intellectual Property Office has announced a pilot project for comprehensive IP administration reform in the following regions: Xiamen in Fujian province, Qingdao in Shandong province, Changsha in Hunan province, Suzhou in J iangsu province and Xuhui district of Shanghai. The status is valid for a year. The rollout of the first list comes as a response to the central government's calling for comprehensive reforms in the IP sphere, ranging from creation, use and protection to management and services.  
 
CAP1400 - the Third Generation of Nuclear Power Technology with Independent IP Rights Owned by China Successfully Developed
With the support of National Science and Technology Major Project and joint efforts by more than 200 enterprises and public institutions, over 20 thousand scientific researchers for 9 years, the third generation of nuclear power technology - CAP1400 was developed successfully, of which China has the independent intellectual property rights and independent export rights. Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute Co., Ltd. showed the advanced equipment and materials related to this development project. CAP1400 is a major technology achievement which China has applied passive design concept to realize re-innovation through scientific research of the major project.  
 
The First Batch of National Patent Navigation Project Research and Promotion Centers Launched
The State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) has established the first patch of National Patent Navigation Project Research and Promotion Centers, which SIPO will develop the research and promotion work from 3 aspects including the universities, districts and enterprises, surrounding the system of overall deepening the patent navigation, enforcing the theoretical and practical study over patent navigation, advancing the effective connection between the patent navigation project research and IP operation service system, putting more efforts into the professional talent training of patent navigation etc.  
 
IP Product to be a New Figure of Chinas National Economic Accounting
Related questions about the China’s System of National Economic Accounting (2016) officially responded by the State Council were answered by the relevant person in charge from the National Bureau of Statistics of China. According to the answers, 5 aspects including the basic framework has been amended in China’s System of National Economic Accounting (2016), which expanded the accounting scope by introducing the concept of "IP product" and including IP product into the accounting scope of nonfinancial assets.
