Instructions on the Use of the Icon for Events in Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China

 The 70th Anniversary of the Founding of The PRC

This is the only designated icon for events in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC).

1. The icon can be used under the following circumstances:

1) Celebratory events and relevant activities related to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the PRC;

2) Venue planning for celebratory events, invitation cards, certificates, notifications, attendance register books and other items;

3) Background boards, banners, colorful flags, sun umbrellas, sun hats, bags, T-shirts and other items for themed education activities;

4) Themed columns of news reports, themed websites, items, leaflets and slogans for publicity, public service advertisements and posters;

5) Souvenirs like sticky notes, badges and armbands.

2. Requirements

1) The use of the icon should be serious and solemn; no one is allowed to change its shape, color or any part of it at will, or make it incomplete through resizing it;

2) The icon should not be used for any commercial use including commercial advertisements and trademarks; nor can it be used for individual ceremonies or condolence;

3) Items with the icon should be highly relevant to the theme of celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the PRC, and should not be misused or abused;

4) The use of the icon should be tailored to different conditions and integrated with the surroundings, which is not only beneficiary to fostering a sound social atmosphere, but also harmonious with the appearance of urban and rural areas.

3. Management

1) The ownership of the icon belongs to the State Council Information Office of China;

2) Regulatory bodies should fulfill their duties of trademark registration and management of the icon by preventing it from being registered as a trademark and strengthening regulation and management of its use;

3) Departments at all levels in various regions should supervise activities hosted within the region and take targeted measures to deal with icon misuse and other problems.
