On October 24, 2009, the 2nd China International Copyright Expo (CICE), dubbed "Copyright Olympics", was opened in Beijing. There were 11 exhibition zones in all and the exhibition products included films and TVs, music, pictures, culture, animation and games. Besides, the expo also set up an exhibition zone for animation and games.
The 2nd CICE, with the theme of Communion, Cooperation, Innovation and Development, attracted copyright management organizations home and abroad, copyright investment and financing organizations, well-renowned copyright enterprises, professional copyright service organizations and related international organizations. This Expo consists of four parts, i.e. the International Copyright Forum, Industrial Exhibition, Thematic Activities and Cultural Performance Activities, covering seven thematic activities including Financing and Investment Conference on China Cultural Industrial Projects, China International Image Cultural Festival, China International Digital Music Festival, China Original Network Literature Forum, China International Digital Entertainment Leadership Summit, Award Presentation Ceremony for China Outstanding Game Producers and China International Software Copyright Summit Forum.
The International Copyright Forum invited famous people to give lectures including Lu Yongxiang, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the NPC, Wang Binying, Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Liu Binjie, Director of the General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP), Li Yining, a famous economist and Father of World Creative Industry John Howkins.
