International application on ".中国" domain name submitted

On November 16, China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) which is a domain name registration management department held a launching ceremony for international application on ".中国"（Chinese character for "China") domain name, it means China submitted international application on".中国" domain name to Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.

It is disclosed by CNNIC that, Microsoft IE, Google Chrome and Firefox have supported".中国" domain name free of obstacle . The search engines including Google and Yahoo will establish collection and support work of websites under".中国".

The Director of CNNIC Mao Wei expressed that, if the application of ".中国" was finished successfully, the doorsill for Chinese 1 billion netizens contacting, learning and using internet would be fallen, and the action is useful for strengthening the influence of Chinese internet in the world.
