China, Europe and USA discuss copyright protection

On November 18 and 19, the National Copyright Bureau convened an international symposium on copyright protection trend in Wuhan, aiming to elevate China's copyright lawmaking level, intensify copyright protection and promote international exchange and cooperation.
Over 20 experts made topic speeches. Vice Director of the General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP) and the National Copyright Bureau Yan Xiaohong lectured on International Copyright Protection & Development: Chance and Challenge Co-exist. Yan put forward that, China attaches importance to the cooperation and exchange with developed and developing countries in enhancing copyright system construction and protection and dialogue and cooperation should become the trend of IPR protection. Michael Pulch, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Commission, expressed in his speech that, in the Internet era, the world was challenged by infringement and piracy and EU is willing to cooperate with China in network lawmaking and law enforcement. Nearly 100 officers, judges, layers, experts and scholars launched a heated discussion over the trend of copyright protection trend in the industries of publication, design, music, films and broadcasting, software and online games in the network environment.
