On November 23, Shanghai Municipal IP Office held a symposium for directors of local IP offices. The Secretary of the Party Group of Shanghai IP Office and Director Lv Guoqiang presided over the symposium and made a speech.

Lv Guoqiang pointed out that, next year, Shanghai will continue to fulfill National IP Strategy, raise the ability in IP creation, use, protection and management, particularly finish compiling Shanghai IPR Twelfth Five-Year Development Plan, intensify IPR protection at Shanghai 2010 Expo, consummate IPR-related regulations and policies, optimize the construction of IPR public service platform and service system, potentiate the guidance and service to the IPR work in key industries, reinforce IP talent cultivation work, develop IPR pledge loan business and promote the ministry-city cooperation between Shanghai and the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO).

Principals from related departments attended the symposium from district and county IP offices of Shanghai, each section of Shanghai Municipal IP Office, Shanghai Municipal IP Service Center, Shanghai Municipal IP Development Research Center and Shanghai Research Institute of Creative Engineering.
