Days ago, 2009 China Copyright Conference, hosted by Copyright Society of China under the direction of National Copyright Administration, was held in Beijing. Deputy Director of the National Copyright Administration Yan Xiaohong was present at the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Chairman of Copyright Society of Shenzhen Chen Yidan, Chairman of China Film Group Han Sanping, Director Feng Xiaogang, comic dialogue performer Jiang Kun, photographer Xie Hailong and other renowned persons were awarded 2009 Man of the Time in Chinese Copyright Industry.

Chen Yidan said, digitalization is a big trend, and under the changing market situation, we should attach importance to the protection of intellectual property rights, combat the emerging new infringements in different forms, undertake reforms in legislation, justice and administrative law enforcement correspondingly, and construct a legal environment that is good for the industrial development.

Some attendees suggested that we should analyze the backbone of the piracy in China.

There is still a gradual process for the public to get to know the protection of online copyrights, and enterprises also have the responsibility to improve their service so as to meet requirements by clients. Protection is one of the methods but not the only one to facilitate industrial development. We should hear the voice from clients while carrying out protection.
