The project of "independent R&D and industrial applications on the core technology of AFC system of cold rolling mill" completed by Anshan Iron and Steel in cooperation with domestic scientific research units recently was approved of registration of technological trademark by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) after successfully passed the examination of provincial scientific and technological achievements, and became the first exclusive technical trademark of Anshan Iron and Steel. This also marks (that) Anshan Iron and Steel breaks the long-term technological monopoly on this technology by foreign countries through independent innovation, and makes China become one of the world's few countries that master such technology.

According to reports, this project has resulted in 14 invention patents, 10 utility model patents and 5 software copyrights in the development and implementation process, 2 academic monographs, and formed shape measurement and core technology system for the control system, and completed the construction of China's first set of cold rolled steel shape measurement and control system with independent IP.
