2010/03/08

Vice Director of National Copyright Administration (NCAC) Yan Xiaohong expressed at the Shanghai Expo Copyright Protection Special Working Conference held in Shanghai on March 4, 2010 that before the expo and during the expo, local governments should pay more attention to the copyright protection and market rectification work to create a good IPR protection environment for a successful expo.

According to the arrangement of NCAC, China will launch special campaign over copyright protection for Shanghai Expo across the nation, particularly in Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Ningbo.

It is informed that, before Shanghai Expo, national copyright departments will conduct a 20-day-long rectification activity over publication market, especially AV product market. They will inspect publishing entities, combat piracy and infringement actions and investigate for the criminal liability if crime occurs.
