Audi sues over trademark denial

2010/03/29

Audi is suing the Trade Mark Appeal Board of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce for allegedly denying the registration of a trade mark A4, Beijing News reported on Sunday.

Audi applied to register A4 as a trademark in January 2007, but the trademark bureau of SAIC rejected the application on the ground that the trademark was too simple and could not be easily differentiated.

Later, Audi appealed to the board and was rejected again.

Beijing No 1 Intermediate Court will hear the case later.
