SIPO deploys patent work for Shanghai Expo

In order to further implement the related work plan of the central government, fully exert the key functions of IP departments on patent law enforcement and right maintenance, and create favorable exhibition order for Shanghai Expo, State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) recently released "Working Plan on the Patent Law Enforcement and Right Maintenance at Shanghai Expo" (hereinafter referred to as "Plan"), which made complete deployment on the patent work during the expo.
  
The"Plan" indicates that, related departments should be cooperative with each other to prevent and solve various patent disputes concerning Shanghai Expo in time, immediately and effectively investigate and solve patent disputes, and firmly investigate the behaviors of repeated infringements, colony infringements and fake patents concerning Shanghai Expo. The"Plan" stresses to put emphasis on two aspects: preventing or reducing patent disputes and effectively solving patent disputes during the expo. The"Plan" requires to define working responsibility mechanism, construct information mechanism to promote cooperation, operate report and complaint mechanism and ensure rapid response and launch law enforcement inspection mechanism.
  
SIPO will guide each local department to adopt detailed measures combining practice to implement the patent work during Shanghai Expo.
