Taobao combats piracy together with 27 publishing houses

On April 26, the World Intellectual Property (IP) Day, Taobao announced that it signed a letter of intent on cooperative combats against online piracy with 27 member publishing houses of Beijing anti-piracy alliance, including China Higher Education Press, People's Medical Publishing House, Beijing Normal University Publishing Group, Law Press-China and so on, to carry out a joint anti-piracy campaign in a creative way.

According to the campaign, Taobao will take active inspections over online product information and will delete any information found infringing the said members' rights. If the publishing houses found any information of piracy, they may complaint to Taobao and Taobao will take actions timely.
