5 cases infringing IPRs of Shanghai Expo investigated

It is learnt from Administration of Customs that, it has investigated 5 cases infringing the IPRs of Shanghai Expo up to now, and the infringing products were mainly the lighters, toothbrushes, brochures with unauthorized use of emblem and mascot of Shanghai Expo.

According to the introduction of Meng Yang, Director of Department of Policies and Regulations of Administration of Customs, they have discussed the best plan for the IP protection in customs with the Coordination Bureau for Shanghai World Expo Affairs and filed the IPRs registration with Customs of the exclusive rights of Shanghai Expo Symbol for the bureau in recent years. As of the end of 2009, a total of 57 IPRs of Shanghai World Expo were filed to Administration of Customs.
