Sponsored by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), co-organized by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) and undertaken by Shaanxi Provincial Industry and Commerce Bureau, the circuit seminar on effectively utilizing Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks was held in Xi'an, the capital city of Shaanxi Province, on May 11.

Wang Binying, Deputy Director General of WIPO, directly pointed out at the seminar that Madrid System is the cheapest and the most convenient channel for enterprises to internationalize their indigenous IPRs and one of the effective guarantees safeguarding their marks overseas.
