China About to Launch Net Game Real-name Authentication

The Eighth ChinaJoy China Digital Entertainment Expo & Conference was recently held in Shanghai. Sun Shoushan, deputy director of General Administration of Press and Publication of P.R.C. (GAPP) said that GAPP is aiming to launch a net game real-name authentication policy ASAP. Statistics show the annual income from the sale of net games reached 25.5 billion RMB in 2009, bringing nearly 55.5 billion RMB of professional added value to relevant industries. It is predicted that the year 2010 will see its continuous growth by approx. 30%.
