White Paper: Nation now has much-improved protection

The China Enterprise Evaluation Association recently released a White Paper showing the nation's intellectual property protection has advanced through improved laws and regulations and strengthened legal, administrative and financial efforts.

"Our government has realized the significance of intellectual property protection and we encourage enterprises and industry associations to take the initiative from that," said Zhang Xiuping, vice-chairman of the Copyright Society of China.

Officials from the Research Office of the State Council, the National Development and Reform Commission, the General Administration of Press and Publication and other organizations and institutions attended an event to mark release of the study.
