In a bid to build an international communication platform of patent information, 2011 Patent Information Annual Conference of China, hosted by SIPO and organized by Intellectual Property Publishing House (IPPH), is held in China National Convention Center, Beijing on Sep. 5-6th.

Bai Guangqing, president of IPPH, chairs the opening ceremony while Tian Lipu, director of SIPO, addresses the conference.

The conference centers upon the topic of “Patent Information and Improvement of Patent Productivity”. About 1000 representatives of provincial patent officers, experts, IP information service providers and IP enterprises are present at the conference.

Moreover, other activities including the exhibition of international patent information products and services as well as a series of workshops are also held.

The conference is of great significance to promote Chinese patent policies, understand state of the art of foreign patent information utilization, and promote wide distribution and efficient utilization of patent information.
