Beijing: First 160 projects of strategic emerging industries published

Beijing Development and Reform Commission on December 8 published the first 160 projects of strategic emerging industries, in which, 47 projects associated with industries including emergency management, intelligent transportation as well as urban garbage and sewage treatment secured a total of 35.8 billion yuan worth of investment.

Enterprises have played a significant role in 113 projects, 81 of which obtained governmental funding.

This July, Beijing formulated the Opinions on the implementation of strategies on cultivating and promoting emerging industries covering sectors from new generation of information technology, biotechnology, energy-saving and environmental protection, new materials, vehicles utilizing new energy, aerospace, new energy and high-end equipment manufacturing.
