International Symposium on IPR Protection Practice held in Shanghai

2012/04/19

The International Symposium on IPR Protection Practice was held in Shanghai on April 17. It was aimed to provide solutions for Chinese enterprises to explore international markets by using IPR.

Chinese enterprises have been confronted with IPR disputes in international exhibitions as they lack a full understanding of IPR protection at foreign exhibitions. When being sued by foreign patent holders, a large number of domestic enterprises could not actively defend or respond to protect their legal rights due to the barriers of languages and judicial resources.

On the eve of the 12th World Intellectual Property Day on April 26, Xuhui District Intellectual Property Office in Shanghai held the symposium jointly with two law firms. Attendees deeply analyzed the latest IPR cases and developments in developed areas such as Europe, America and Japan. They pledged to improve the competitiveness of Chinese enterprises by means of intellectual property. [Chinese version is available on Evening News]
