Hebei to evaluate the performance of IP pilot enterprises

2013/01/30

Regular evaluation is a key to the enhancement of IP management capability in IP pilot businesses, said head of Hebei Intellectual Property Office Liu Jilei, referring to the appraisal approach of a provincial IP pilot program targeting enterprises.

Liu mentioned this in his speech at a meeting in Shijiazhuang. The event was also attended by officials from 11 IP competent authorities and representatives from 54 IP pilot companies and 7 IP consulting agencies.

In the speech, he urged enterprises under the pilot program to gain good knowledge of how to manage intellectual properties, and called for consulting agencies to provide necessary technical support to the evaluation procedure.

A fair and unbiased attitude is required by evaluation agencies which are commissioned to assess the performance of those IP pilot enterprises, said Liu.

The schedule of the evaluation was announced at the meeting, which specified that 54 enterprises across the province will be subject to the assessment by a working group led by Hebei Intellectual Property Office.
