China approving the Beijing Treaty on Audiovisual Performances

The Beijing Treaty on Audiovisual Performances (the Beijing Treaty), a new international standard for fully protecting the performers’ sound and images, was approved in the eighth session of the 12th National People’s Congress (NPC) Standing Committee. After the Beijing Treaty comes into force, the rights of Chinese performers will be well preserved within the countries which have approved the Beijing Treaty.
