The administrative lawsuit filed by Apple Inc. against China's State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) was pronounced on July 8th. Previously, Apple Inc. was sued because one of its applications Siri was suspected of infringing the patent of “Little I Robot,” after which Apple Inc. brought an administrative lawsuit to SIPO, requesting SIPO to decide the patent received by the “Little I Robot” invalid. However, the Beijing First Intermediate People’s Court ruled that Apple Inc. failed the appeal, and maintained the original rule made by the patent committee to be valid. Apple Inc. said it would continue to appeal.
