Wu Kailei, a lawyer specialized in intellectual property rights, gave a lecture in Wenjiang campus of the Sichuan Agriculture University on Oct 13 to encourage students to pay attention to intellectual property protection when starting up their own business.

Wu explained the importance of intellectual property protection by analyzing business cases of famous companies such as Apple, Xiaomi and Alibaba. He also called on students to gain more knowledge about relevant laws and use them to protect their own intellectual property when needed.

The lecture was part of a series of activities themed “Entrepreneur Class” that were hosted by Wenjiang’s human resources bureau and the Youth League Committee. Local entrepreneurs and experts in different industries are invited to share their experience and give advice to college and university students.

More lectures are to take place in Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Chengdu Normal University, Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Sichuan Vocational and Technical College of Communications in October.
