Samsung and Teva Named Top Accused Patent Infringers in US

Samsung and Teva have been named the top accused patent infringers in the US for 2016.
Software system company Docket Navigator released a report on February 9 called “Top accused infringers, patentees, and law firms in 2016”.
Samsung was named the top accused patent infringer by number of new cases filed against it.
The South Korean company faced 36 new patent cases; Huawei and LG Electronics were second and third, with 26 cases respectively.
Pharmaceutical company Teva topped the rankings for patents allegedly infringed, with 185.
Drugs companies Mylan (176) and Actavis (166) placed second and third in the report.
