Google and FAS Reaches an Out-of-court Settlement

Google and Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation (FAS) recently reached a settlement out of the court, ending a dispute lasting for 2 years. As one part of the settlement agreement, Google will provide Russian search engine access to their Android system, which set a precedent for Google. The agreement which has been approved by Russian Court will be valid for 6 years and 9 months. According to the agreement, Google has to pay 439 million rubles (about 7.85 million dollars) fine.
