CAP1400 - the Third Generation of Nuclear Power Technology with Independent IP Rights Owned by China Successfully Developed

With the support of National Science and Technology Major Project and joint efforts by more than 200 enterprises and public institutions, over 20 thousand scientific researchers for 9 years, the third generation of nuclear power technology – CAP1400 was developed successfully, of which China has the independent intellectual property rights and independent export rights. Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute Co., Ltd. showed the advanced equipment and materials related to this development project. CAP1400 is a major technology achievement which China has applied passive design concept to realize re-innovation through scientific research of the major project.
