Overview:
Miriam is the Principal of Integral IP, practicing Patent Prosecution and heading the technology group. Miriam is actively involved in the Joint Liaison committee between the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC) and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO). Miriam is also active on different committees of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA).

Miriam works with leading Canadian and multinational corporations, and foreign patent firms.
With over a decade of patent experience, Miriam is proficient in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in a variety of disciplines. Her acute analytical skills and deep understanding of complex patent prosecution issues in many different jurisdictions have assisted clients in obtaining hundreds of patents worldwide. Miriam has been involved in the preparation of non-infringement opinions and has provided support to clients in negotiations with competitors.
Miriam's background as a software developer and designer spans over eight years. She designed a document management system for Baan (now part of Infor) and worked at Tecnomatix (since acquired by Siemens) on robotics control for a computer-aided production engineering product used worldwide in the automotive industry. Miriam also worked as a research assistant at the National Research Council of Canada and at the Pulp and Paper Research Institute of Canada.
